Tailoring

In 2022, Asansol Girls’ College (A.G.C.) introduced a Certificate Course on Tailoring and Embroidery to empower students with practical and creative skills in fabric design and needlework. The course is conducted by two experienced and highly skilled instructors who bring both expertise and hands-on training to the classroom.
 
This initiative aims to foster self-reliance and open pathways for entrepreneurship, particularly for students interested in fashion, design, and sustainable livelihoods. Through a blend of traditional techniques and modern methods, learners are guided in mastering the art of tailoring and intricate embroidery work.

The course has been well-received and continues to provide valuable vocational training that enhances both skill development and career opportunities for young women.
