Kamala Sen. From the humble beginning in the premises of the Manimala Girls' High School the college soon blossomed into maturity and was shifted to its new building in 1962. During the difficult years of its adolescence, the college was fortunate to have Dr. Anjali Roy as its principal. She was a dedicated educationist, who with the help of a team of devoted colleagues nurtured the college as one of the most prestigious institutions under the Kazi Nazrul University.
