ALUMNI

Asansol Girls’ College has a registered Alumni Association (Registration No: S0000567 of 2018-19) that contributes significantly to the development of the institution through financial and other support systems. The Asansol Girls’ College Alumni Association (AGCAA) is a registered body which was formed in 2004. Since then it has been very active. An active alumni association contributes significantly towards the preservation of the vision and heritage of the college. The alumni association acts as a mirror of the institution reflecting the professional and personal achievements of students. The number of registered Alumni core members is 35 at present. Currently, the President and the Secretary of this association are Sankari Chakraborty and Sutapa Majumdar respectively.

The AGCAA is an autonomous body governed by a duly elected Executive Committee annually. All
previous college students are eligible to join the association.

Vision: The logo of AGCAA ‘Vidyamritmadhute’ clearly states that it tries to rip the benefit of education.

Mission:
1. To help students and motivate them to achieve academic excellence.
2. To provide career guidance to present students by notable alumni.
3. Provide financial and medical help to students
The alumni association organises reunion of ex-students, falicitate the senior most alumnae who is active
and is an example setter for the juniors, arranges for cultural program, participate and contribute in social
activities. Some of the alumni members are also engaged as Associate Professor, SACT and NTS in our
college.

Salient Activities of the Alumni Association are:
1. Financial help to needy students to enable them to pursue education.
2. Active participation in COVID 19 relief program
3. Active participation in cultural program.
4. Organising free health checkup camp, thalassemia detection camp for the benefit of students
