Hostel

 

In Asansol Girls’ College, there is also hostel facility for our girl students that help the students from distant places to live in the college campus and to get higher education. It provides a safe and clean and ragging free environment for our students with proper room facility, room maintenance, food supply, cleanliness, and safety. The hostel boarders are bound to obey the rules and regulations frames by the college authority and the KNU ordinance. There is a Students’ Hostel Committee which supervise the management of the hostels and maintenance of discipline.

There are two hostels in Asansol Girls’ College:

i) Anjali Girls’ Hostel (Old Hostel)

ii) Nivedita Girls’ Hostel (New Hostel) Each hostel has a capacity of 80 students and there is one matron (Lady) per hostel to look after the students. There is also a Hostel committee for managing hostel facilities, matters and issues.

Facilities:

i) The students are provided with a clean room, a bed, a study table and a hanger for cloths. The cleanliness and hygiene of hostel rooms and hostel premises are the priority of these hostels.

ii) They get total 4 time meal (Morning breakfast, Lunch, Evening snack and Dinner) per day.

iii) There is 24×7 hr water supply in the hostel.

iv) There is water purifier in the hostel so students are supplied with 100% safe water for drinking purpose.

v) There are some rules for students. Students cannot go out of hostel after 5 PM in the evening. These rules are for their safety.

Admission process:

Students can apply either online or offline for admission in hostel.

Hostel charges:

Room charge: Rs 1200 per month.

Canteen fee: Rs 2300 per month.

Total Fees: Rs 3500 per month.

Note:

Students can pay the fees for a quarter or a semester together.

There are two hostels – Unit I (Old) and Unit – II (New). The number of existing seats in each hostel is 80. Students’ Mess in the new hostel runs on self financing basis. whereas students’ mess is run by the boarders in the old hostels.

The College provides hostel facility to the students from distant places. However. students are provided hostel accommodation on the basis of their merit and distance of their place of residence. Allotment of seats in the old hostel and new hostel depends on the financial condition of their parents/guardian. The hostel boarders are bound to obey the rules and regulations framed by the college authority and the B.U. ordinance. There is a Students’ Hostel Welfare Committee which supervise the management of the hostels and maintenance of discipline
