College has enough ICT Room for taking classes using projectors and desktop/laptops. Students have access to LAN enabled computer for internet surfing and prepare their project reports in their own department or also in Library or Computer lab. Acknowledging the need for innovations in teaching the use of ICT tools has increased considerably in the last five years. During the Covid-19, lockdown period, the use of ICT was the major way for teaching-learning process. Teachers mostly used online meeting tools like Zoom, Google Meet to conduct their classes. Teachers and students also used social media platforms like WhatsApp and Youtube for teaching and learning. Internal assessment and end semester examinations have to be conducted with the help of Google forms and Google classrooms. Different departments used online compilers or simulators for their practical classes. Apart from online teaching learning tools the college use tools like Projectors, Desktops, Laptops, Broad Band internet facility with WiFi, Printers, Scanners, Projector Enabled Seminar Rooms, Smart Class rooms etc. have been used for ICT infrastructures. The faculties also used the following ICT enabled tools for effective teaching
learning:
1.PowerPoint presentations, 2.Online quiz for students after the completion of each unit with the help of GOOGLE FORMS. 3.Video Conferencing – Students are counseled with the help of Zoom / Google meet / Microsoft Team applications. 4.Recording of audio/video lectures. 5.Online competitions, Project presentations. Seminars/Webinars/Workshops are organised for enhancing students’ learning experience. Students are also trained to make seminar presentations using the ICT tools to enhance their skills. Flip books (e-magazines) are prepared by the students under the guidance of faculty members. Virtual book exhibition organized by the Library for expanding the scope of the students’ learning experience. Teachers honed their knowledge on LMS and use of ICT tools by attending special faculty development programs and workshops.
The college has the following ICT facilities
One Smart Room fully air conditioned, one ICT centre with 16 computers with internet facility and a well-equipped Computer Centre with 45 computers which are used by the students for lab-based classes as well as faculty members for teaching-learning and Research work. An automated Central Library using LMS software Koha version 23.11.00.
The campus is under 360-degree CCTV Surveillance with 25 CCTV cameras installed at primary corners and is monitored though a Big Screen at Principal’s office.
